How to build a wooden picnic table

The easiest way to build a picnic table in your yard is to use wooden slats. Therefore, as you can notice in the image, you have to make several components and to lock them together with galvanized screws.

Always pre-drill the components before inserting the screws, to prevent the wood from splitting.
In addition, we recommend you to enhance the rigidity of the table by adding waterproof glue to the joints.

Make sure you leave 1/4" between the slats in order to enhance the water drainage. Moreover, countersink the head of the screws, if you want to get a professional appearance. Using braces will reinforce the frame of the table, so make sure you don't overlook this step.
